Peggy Parks
Peggy Parks founded Peggy Parks Photography on the historic square in Lockhart, Texas in 1994. But her vision and passion were discovered long before that – at age 3 to be exact. From the moment she laid hands on that first little camera, she fell in love with the art of photography – a love that continues today.

It’s not just the photography; it’s the people, too. Peggy enjoys spending time with her clients, getting to know them and their personalities so she can provide them with photo memories that capture who they are. Her attention to detail: the best lighting; the best angles to capture; the best backgrounds or outdoor location; and being able to put her clients at ease allows her to perfectly frame a photograph for lasting memories.

While running her studio, she also taught photo workshops at Big Bend State Park. Leading groups of 30-40 people at a time, she taught participants hands-on skills to take better photos, while also enjoying the countryside on horseback. She especially cherishes this experience getting to combine two passions – photography and the outdoors.
In 2007, Peggy relocated her studio to New Braunfels, where she has both an indoor and an outdoor location complete with landscaping and a beautiful pool with waterfall effect. She likes being able to have clients take advantage of the beautiful outdoor setting to create lasting photographic memories, as well as traveling on location to other outdoor settings where her photography really shines.

When Peggy is not in the studio or on location taking photos, she’s spending time with her family. She considers her husband, Jim, owner of P&J Pools, her best friend, and enjoys loving relationships with both her mother and her mother-in-law. To unwind and keep fit, Peggy likes to windsurf and garden. She’s also a passionate foodie and enjoys a glass of fine wine.
Peggy says, “I thank God everyday for the talent he has given me and the desire to pursue my passion – photography!”
